Goldbug Hot Springs, ID

Last Saturday we hiked up to Goldbug Hot Springs. We had heard from friends that it was either "literal heaven" or "not worth the drive," which are about the two most opposing thoughts so we had no idea what it would be like. We had also read that the hike was brutal but heard from said friends up above that it was basically a breezy walk, which we would have to agree to. It took about an hour, with about 5-10 minutes of steeper trailer at the very beginning and very end with a very gentle, nearly flat, middle. All in all, I would say it falls dead center of how good we had heard it was. The several hours we spent up there went by with almost no thought to time at all, but I didn't find myself planning the next trip back on my why down like I have on so many other trips.

The sad part is that I have a strict "no naked babies on the internet rule," and all of our cutest, melt your heart and definitely print, photos were taken when Em was rocking only a swim diaper. But here are the others:

There were several-about 10- hot pools ranging from lukewarm to searing hot, and we tried them all. Then hiked home with Em passed out in the Ergo.
