Family Came to Visit Part 2

As it was mentioned in the last post, Em got to pick out some birthday gifts, and two of those were a kite and some sand toys. We took those to the beach one day with Kerma and Richard, and we also went to the beach with Steve and Jolyn's family. I brought my nice camera on those trips and wanted to make sure I got them up here, but figured it would be easier to make a separate post for them since I totally forgot about them while making the first one of our families coming to visit.

So, here they are!

It ended up being too windy for the kite to work for very long, but it was nice just hanging out on the beach for an hour or two. When we went with Steve's family, we took turns surfing and I caught a couple of good waves. It was actually Sunday, and I swear the good waves always come on a Sunday! We usually don't go surfing instead of church (technically I did make it to the joint YW/Relief Society meeting), but Jolyn had to leave for her conference and so we felt like as much family time was necessary.

Family Came to Visit Part 1

In like, February, March-ish? Can you tell documenting our lives is so not a priority right now?

Anyways, Charlie's parents came and visited us, and then two days after they left, his brother and his family came for a visit. I feel lucky to enjoy Charlie's family so much, I could have them rotating on a visiting schedule throughout the whole year and never get tired of the company.

On the home front, Kerma helped me sew many, many pillows. 4, to be exact. 2 ginormous floor pillow and two over sized throw pillows to lean against whilst sitting on said floor pillows. We also went to the wild life sanctuary, Chuck and Richard went fishing trip, and we watched a rocket launch.

When Charlie's brother, Steve came, along with his wife and two little girls, we went to the beach and from what I remember mostly just chilled? You know, the normal Florida stuff. Manatee watching, boat rides to see dolphins, parks and rock climbing, etc. Jolyn was here for a conference in Orlando, so she was gone part of the time but we'll take what we can get!

Eliza's favorite parts were probably going to Toys R Us to pick out an early birthday gift, rock climbing, going to the beach and watching the fish pond at a local restaurant. Above all, I think she just loved being with her cousins and Grandma and Grandpa!

Anyways, it was a lot of fun and I'm just now remembering that I have some photos on my SLR camera that would be worth uploading from the visits, so that will have to be another post for now!
