Out on the Water

A looong time ago, on a perfect Sunday evening, we took the boat out in between break downs to go for a stroll on the river. We saw dolphins (a given), and took it down past the Pineda bridge. It was a lovely day but also slightly cold when the wind would pick up. Em, who had no desire to use her baby blanket as she moved from seat to seat and ran up and down the center of the boat, also had no desire to let me use it...little stinker! It is, technically, her blanket, so she did have the right to determine who does and doesn't benefit from it's warmth, and she definitly exercised that right that day. Every time the boat would pick up speed I would try to sneak it around my body, and, every time, Em would come over to put it back in it's place- unused, piled up on an empty chair. Like I said, little stinker;).

All things otherwise, though, the day was especially lovely, everyone especially content, and Eliza very happy. As well as the light, the light was juuust right.
