Catching Up to Do

Well, it's been...weeks...since my last post? Here is a quick review of our lives as of lately.

We held the annual climbing comp two weekends ago. Jenna and Stephen came over from the 'tah, also. Oh, and we made it a blacklight comp. How sweet is that? I was pretty a little nervous at first, but in the end it all worked out. The holds were visible enough and the vibes were great. I loved helping front run, paint, and even set a little for the comp this year.

Our calling for the past few months has been nursery and Charly and I have been loving it. No, seriously, you guys...why would you ever want to sit through two hours of Sunday School and Relief Society when you can play with toys instead. And I love Relief Society, so that's saying something. It seems like once a week there's a kid that passes out on the floor from our new early morning church schedule. Last Sunday I held that little girl in Charly's arms across the room from him and our conversation went like this:

Girl points at Charly shyly.

Me: "Do you wanna go say hi to Charles?" She just shakes her head, then:

Girl: "I want him to hold me."

Needless to say I take her over there and she crawls up into his lap. Ten minutes later I look over and she's covered in dinosaurs and he's driving car across her. Can you say "aw" in a high pitched voice?

At home lately: Homemade ham and pineapple pizza, and currently watching Once Upon a Time and the British series Merlin as we pass the time on these cold winter nights. Things we've given up on: waking up early to go work out (no matter how much distance I put between my phone and bed, it's just not happening.)

Dean, Heather, Chuck, and I hiked the Teton Pass last weekend. The snow was dust on crust and I absolutely hated the hike, but it was an adventure well worth having with good people. Plus, it has me itching to get out more now. That last photo is from another snowboarding day. I forgot to put it up and couldn't resist letting you all see the little itty bitty goggle tan I received that day. Bonus: that's tomato soup in that thermos and it staying piping hot the whole day. I just love man's inventions.

And those are our days right now. Oh, and one more thing:

That is my brand new Trek Slash 8 with white, blue studded pedals. It's electric and navy (not black) blue. Husband also got one, only in a lager size for his man body (it's a man bike...but who cares?)
